Beans Espagnole
Ingredients:
1 tablesp oil
2oz(50g) butter
8oz(225gm) gammon steaks, thawed
if frozen, cut in thin strips.
1onion, chopped
1 ½ lb(900g) frozen whole French
beans
salt
freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Heat oil with half the butter in a large pan.
2. Add gammon and onion and fry, stirring over moderate
heat for 5 mins.
3. Add remaining butter frozen beans and seasoning. Stir
well. Cook with lid on till beans are heated but still
firm- about 8-10 mins.
4. Serve immediately in warmed dish.
